Our History

Cafe Lumiere opened its doors on Rue Oberkampf in March 2018, with a simple idea: to offer the best coffee possible, pastries made by hand every morning, and a place where you’ll want to settle in. We’ve been roasting our coffee at Coutume and Belleville since the very beginning. The brunch pancakes? Camille’s grandmother’s recipe. The gluten-free banana bread? A story about an allergy that had a happy ending. We welcome regulars, freelancers, couples taking their time on Sundays, and anyone who loves a good cup of coffee.
