What gets in the way for a tradesperson
Setting an appointment takes three calls
The customer calls while you are on a job, you call back in the evening, they do not answer. For a simple visit before a quote, the back-and-forth can last a week.
Quote visits eat into the day
A 30-minute visit plus travel: if visits fall randomly across the week, they break up your working days. Better to group them into slots you choose.
The customer forgets the appointment
You arrive, nobody is there. A reminder the day before, with a link to cancel if something comes up, saves some of those wasted trips.
You do not know what is waiting for you
Without the exact address, the floor or a description of the problem, you leave without the right part and have to come back.
How it works with Voxtya
- Create your appointment types. For example “Quote visit (30 min)”, “Boiler service (1 h)”, “Small repair (1 h)”. Each type has its length and a buffer after it, which blocks travel time to the next customer.
- Open only your visit slots. For each day, one or several ranges: for example Tuesday and Thursday 8–10 am, or Saturday morning. The rest of the week stays for your jobs.
- The customer books and describes the need. They pick the appointment type and time, then leave their details and, in the free-text field, their address, floor, door code or appliance make.
- Confirm, or let it run. Automatic confirmation, or manual approval if you want to check the area before accepting. The customer gets an email confirmation then a reminder the day before, with a link to cancel within the notice you set.
- A team? One calendar per person. Add each tradesperson or technician with the appointments they do: the customer picks a person or “no preference”. Everyone has their own slots, with no double booking.

Try a booking page in appointment mode
We do not have a tradesperson demo site in appointment mode yet. The Salon Eden Paris demo page uses exactly the same mode: pick a service, then a slot, and see how the length blocks the calendar.
In practice
| What the customer needs | What they use | What you receive |
|---|---|---|
| A visit before a quote, a service, a repair that can wait | The online appointment page | A dated appointment, confirmed by email, reminder the day before |
| Work to be priced (bathroom, fuse box…) | The quote request form, with photos | A complete request to handle and track |
| An emergency (leak, breakdown) | The call button on your website | A direct call, on your emergency number |
The two tools work together: appointments for what can be scheduled, quote requests for what needs pricing.
Appointments and quote requests together
Appointment booking is part of the Bookings service. Online quote requests for tradespeople (form, photos, request tracking) are included in both the Website and Bookings. The Website + Bookings bundle, at €49 a month, brings together your website, your appointment page and your quote form.
To present your services and service area well, read the tradesperson website guide.
