A reply ready in three steps.
No need to be good with words: the AI uses what your customer said to write a reply that really speaks to them.
Paste the review
Copy the review from your Google listing or Google Maps, and paste it into the tool.
Pick the tone
Warm, professional or short. Select the customer’s rating: the reply adapts, especially for a negative review.
Copy and publish
Read it over, add your first name, then paste the reply under the review on Google. Done.
Replying well to a Google review, in 4 habits.
Reply quickly
Ideally within 2 or 3 days. A review with no reply gives the impression that nobody is listening.
Make it personal
The customer’s first name, the dish or service they mentioned: a copy-and-paste reply is spotted straight away.
Stay calm
Faced with an unfair review, a measured reply reassures future customers far more than a justification.
Invite them back
End with an invitation: “we look forward to seeing you again”, or a contact to sort out a problem.
All your reviews, with a reply ready every time.
With the Review replies service, no more copying and pasting: as soon as a review comes in, the reply is written in your tone, with your signature. You paste it on Google in 2 clicks.
€29 / month · 30-day free trialHow does the free AI review reply generator work?
Replying to every review takes time, and finding the right words for a disappointed customer is never easy. The generator gives you a solid first draft in a few seconds, which you then adapt and publish yourself. Here is how it works:
- You paste the review. Copy the text left on Google (up to 2,000 characters) and paste it into the box.
- You choose the tone. Warm for a friendly review, professional for a detailed or critical one, short when two sentences are enough.
- You add the context. Your business name (optional) and the rating given. A 1-star review does not call for the same reply as a 5-star one, and the AI adapts its answer.
- The AI writes a reply. It thanks the customer, picks up what they mentioned and, for a negative review, acknowledges the problem and offers to talk. You can ask for another version if the first one does not suit you.
- You read it over and copy it. Add your first name, a detail only you know, then paste it under the review from your Google listing.
The review you paste is only used to write the reply: we do not keep it. To prevent abuse, the free tool is limited to a few replies every half hour.
What makes a good reply to a Google review?
Customers read reviews, but many also read how the owner replies. A good reply is short, personal and calm. It usually follows four habits:
- Thank the customer, even when the review is critical. They took the time to write.
- Mention a detail from their review: the dish, the haircut, the job done. It shows you actually read it.
- Stay factual on a negative review: acknowledge the problem, explain briefly what you have done, without arguing in public.
- Invite them back or offer to continue the conversation privately, by phone or email.
Here is an example of a reply to a positive review:
Thank you so much, Sarah! We are delighted you enjoyed the lamb and the chocolate tart. The whole team will be happy to read your words. See you soon for the new spring menu!
And an example of a reply to a negative review:
Hello Mark, thank you for taking the time to write. You are right, the wait on Saturday evening was too long, and we are sorry it spoiled your evening. We have since added a person in the kitchen on weekends. We would be glad to welcome you again: feel free to call us on the number on our listing.
A 3-star review
Thank you for your visit and your honest feedback. We’re glad you loved the dessert! Waiting that long between courses isn’t right, and we have strengthened the kitchen team on weekends. We hope to welcome you back soon, this time without the wait.
A review with stars only
Thank you for your 5 stars! The whole team looks forward to your next visit.
A review in French from a visitor
Choose “French” as the reply language: the reply comes out in French, which the customer and other French-speaking visitors will appreciate.

How do you adapt your replies to your trade?
Restaurants and bars
Talk about the dishes, the atmosphere and the team. On a negative review about waiting time or a cold dish, explain what you changed rather than justifying the rush. See our page for restaurants.
Hair and beauty salons
Name the service and, when possible, the stylist. If a customer is unhappy with a result, offer to fix it: a reply that proposes a solution reassures everyone who reads it. More on our salons page.
Bakeries and shops
Short, warm replies fit best: thank them for the croissant, the cake, the advice. On a complaint about a product, invite the customer to come back and talk about it at the counter. See our page for bakeries.
Tradespeople
Mention the type of job and the town, without giving the customer’s address. On a dispute, stay very factual and move the discussion to the phone. Read our page for tradespeople.
Hotels
Mention the room, breakfast or the welcome. On a complaint about noise or cleanliness, say what has been done. See our page for hotels.
Health practices
Be extra careful: never confirm that the person is a patient and never mention anything about their health, even if they did. A general thank-you and an invitation to call the practice are enough. Our page for medical practices explains why.
| Type of review | Tone to choose | What the reply should contain |
|---|---|---|
| 5 stars with a detailed comment | Warm | Thanks, a detail from the review, an invitation to come back |
| 5 stars, stars only | Short | A simple, sincere thank-you |
| 3 stars, mixed | Professional | Thanks, what went well, what you will improve |
| 1 or 2 stars, real problem | Professional | Apology, the fix you made, an offer to talk privately |
| 1 star, suspected fake | Professional | A calm reply saying you cannot find the visit, then report it |
Which mistakes should you avoid when replying with AI?
- Publishing without reading. The AI does not know what happened on the day. Check every fact before posting.
- Copying the same reply everywhere. Identical replies under every review look automatic and do not reassure anyone. Use “Another version” and add a personal touch.
- Sharing private information. Never mention a booking number, an address, a phone number of the customer or details of their visit they did not mention themselves.
- Arguing in public. Even if the review is unfair, a defensive reply is read by every future customer. Stay calm, move the discussion to the phone.
- Replying weeks later. A reply within a few days shows you are attentive. Make it a weekly habit at least.
- Ignoring fake reviews. Reply calmly, then report the review from your listing. Our article on fake Google reviews explains the procedure.
What do Google’s rules say about replies?
Google encourages business owners to reply to reviews: its help pages explain that replying shows you value your customers. Your replies are public and must follow the same content rules as reviews: no insults, no personal information, no advertising unrelated to the review. You can edit or delete a reply at any time from your listing.
Using an AI to prepare a draft is not a problem in itself, as long as you remain responsible for what you publish. That is why our generator never posts anything on its own: you read, adapt and paste.
