What gets in the way for a tradesperson
On site, not in the office
You reply to reviews in the evening, when you remember. Often never. Yet every reply reassures the next customer choosing between three tradespeople.
The unhappy customer, in public
Late arrival, a disputed quote, finishing: the temptation is to answer point by point. In public it backfires. You need a short, factual reply.
Writing is not your job
Finding the right words takes time. A reply ready to check in ten seconds is what makes you actually reply.
How it works with Voxtya
- Your tone, set once. Formal or warm, signed “Julien, Central Plumbing”. Your instructions: offer unhappy customers a call, never discuss prices in public.
- A reply for every review. Once your Google listing is linked, each review arrives with a reply that picks up the job mentioned (leak, fuse box, painting) and thanks them.
- From your phone. Manual mode: check and publish in one click between jobs. Automatic mode: the reply goes out on its own; 1 and 2-star reviews wait for you by default.
- Quote platforms. A review on another platform? Paste it into Voxtya: the reply is ready to copy.

Paste a review you received and pick a tone: you see the reply Voxtya drafts, no signup. The service does the same for every new review on your listing.
In practice
| Review received (example) | What the drafted reply does |
|---|---|
| “Came out on a Sunday, leak fixed fast” | Thanks them, mentions the leak and the speed, without overdoing it |
| “Two hours late, no warning” (2 stars) | Acknowledges the delay, apologises simply, offers a phone call; waits for your review |
| “Stuck to the quote, tidy work” | A short, precise thank-you, signed with your first name |
Unfair review: reply without defending yourself
If a review seems unfair (a customer disputing a signed quote, a review from someone you never worked for), stick to the facts in one or two sentences and offer a phone call. No price details, no address. If the review is fake, you can report it to Google. Method and templates: responding to Google reviews in the building trades.
