Direct booking software for independent hotels

A 10 to 40-room hotel sells most of its nights through online travel agencies and wants to win some of them back direct. Here is what Voxtya brings to an independent hotel.

What gets in the way for a hotel

Reliance on online travel agencies

Online agencies bring reach, and take a commission on every stay. Each guest who books direct, from your website or your Google listing, keeps that margin with you.

A “Book” button that sends guests elsewhere

Many independent hotels have no booking engine on their site: the guest who wanted to book direct ends up on an agency site.

One room inventory on several channels

Six doubles and two suites sold on three sites: the last room sold anywhere has to disappear everywhere.

Business travellers and regulars

They come back, know the hotel and do not need a comparison site. They just need a simple link to book.

How it works with Voxtya

  1. Create your room types. Standard double, superior double, family suite: for each type, capacity, how many rooms of that type, a description and an indicative nightly price.
  2. Set your rules. Check-in and check-out times, minimum and maximum nights, closing dates, how far ahead guests can book. A guest can book up to 5 rooms of one type.
  3. Connect your calendars. For each type, Voxtya reads up to 5 iCal calendars (Booking.com, Airbnb, Vrbo…) every hour: each calendar blocks one room of the type, night by night. Your Voxtya iCal links block nights sold direct in return.
  4. Guests book direct. Dates, room type, adults and children: only available nights are offered. Automatic or manual confirmation, reminder the day before arrival.
  5. Put the link everywhere. On your Google listing, your website, your confirmation emails and social media. After the stay, the Review collection service can send the Google review request.

How much is booking software for a hotel?
€29 a month (€23 a month billed annually) for the Bookings service, with no commission, whatever the number of rooms. The Website + Bookings bundle is €49 a month.
Does Voxtya replace my channel manager?
For a small hotel with two or three channels, Voxtya’s iCal sync (occupied nights blocked every hour) is often enough. Otherwise, Voxtya works alongside your channel manager.
Can a guest book several rooms?
Yes, up to 5 rooms of one type in one booking, with adults and children.
Is payment taken online?
No. The nightly price is indicative: guests pay at the hotel, or as you explain in the confirmation.
Can I see stays in my calendar?
Yes: the whole-property iCal link shows every stay in Google Calendar, with no name by default or with the guest’s name if you switch it on.
How do I win back direct bookings?
Put the link on your Google listing and website, reply to reviews, and give the link to regulars. Our no-commission booking guide covers the levers in detail.
