What gets in the way for a wine shop
Loyal regulars who stay quiet
The customer who drops in every week for a dinner bottle trusts you, but has never thought of writing a review. Yet regulars describe your advice best.
Advice does not show on a listing
On Google, two shops on the same street look alike: a rating and photos of shelves. Reviews about the wine you suggested for a meal or a made-to-measure gift box make the difference.
Reviews about prices
“More expensive than the supermarket”: the remark comes back. A calm reply about the selection, the winemakers and storage reads better than silence.
Visitors from abroad
In a tourist town or a wine region, part of the reviews come in another language. A reply in the customer’s language shows it was read.
How it works with Voxtya
- A QR code when customers pay. On the till counter, on the bag or a card slipped into a gift box: the stand and cards from the print pack. Customers scan while you wrap, land on your review page, then your Google listing.
- A prize wheel, with alcohol-free prizes. After their review, your customers can try their luck: a corkscrew, a wine stopper, money off deli products for next time. Nothing is guaranteed and the rating is never asked.
- AI-drafted replies. For each review, the AI drafts a reply that picks up what the customer wrote (the advice, the bottle, the gift box), in French if the review is in French. Published on Google automatically or after you read it: your choice.
- A campaign to your loyal customers. If you keep a list of customers who agreed to your emails (loyalty card, holiday orders), a review request campaign goes out to them, with an unsubscribe link.

See a demo review page
We do not have a demo wine shop yet: the review page of Café Lumière, a fictional café in Paris, shows exactly what your customer sees after scanning the QR code, with the button to Google.
In practice
| Review | Useful reply | Avoid |
|---|---|---|
| “Great advice for our wedding wine” | Thank them, mention the occasion without the price | The same “thanks” for every review |
| “Pricier than the supermarket” | Talk about the selection, the winemakers, storage, invite them to ask for advice | Comparing yourself with a named chain |
| “Nobody to help me on Saturday” | Acknowledge the rush, say when it is quieter | Blaming the customer for the timing |
| “Superbe sélection de vins nature” | Thank them in French, invite them back | An English reply the customer may not read |
Alcohol rules: what changes for the wheel and replies
In France, the Évin law restricts the promotion of alcoholic drinks, and many countries have similar rules. Two practical consequences for a wine shop:
- Wheel prizes: we advise against giving away a bottle or a tasting. Choose accessories (corkscrew, stopper, cool bag), money off deli products or free gift wrapping.
- The tone of replies: stay informative (the estate, the appellation, the advice given) and avoid wording that encourages drinking. The AI follows the instructions you give it once.
Do you also run a wine bar? The page Google reviews software for bars and cafés covers QR codes on tables. To present your selection online, read the guide wine shop website.
