Wheel of fortune and Google reviews for bakeries

Your customers come in every day, and almost none of them has left a review. The wheel of fortune gives them a reason to spend thirty seconds: a croissant or a loaf to win, picked up on their next visit. Here is how to set it up for a bakery.

What gets in the way for a bakery

Regulars who never think of reviews

The 7:30 am customer who buys bread every morning loves you, but has never opened your Google listing. A plain review request does not reach them.

No time at the counter

In the morning the queue moves fast. You cannot ask every customer for a review out loud.

Prizes that cost little

A pastry costs little to make and makes people happy. It is an ideal prize, as long as you cap the number of winners.

Competition two streets away

In many neighbourhoods two or three bakeries share the passers-by. The listing with recent reviews draws those new to the area.

How it works with Voxtya

  1. A QR code by the till. The stand or A5 poster from the print pack, next to the card terminal: “Your review, then try your luck”.
  2. The customer enters a first name and email. They open your Google review page with one button. A few seconds later the wheel unlocks. Their rating is never asked.
  3. You choose the prizes and their odds. For example a croissant, a pain au chocolat, a loaf, 10% off a tart, and “Thanks, see you soon” for the rest. You set each segment’s probability.
  4. The prize is collected next visit. The code is shown and emailed (valid 30 days by default). You validate it at the till from the winners list.
  5. Cap participations. A delay between two plays stops the same regular from playing every morning.

How much is the wheel of fortune for a bakery?
It is part of Review collection, €29 a month (€23 billed annually), with the review page, QR code and print materials. 30-day trial.
Does Google allow it?
Google forbids rewarding positive reviews or steering the rating. The wheel is offered to every customer after their review, whatever it says, and never asks for the rating.
Which prizes suit a bakery?
Products you make that cost little: pastries, a loaf, a small cake. Keep a “Thanks, see you soon” segment to cap winners.
How do I stop someone playing every day?
Set a delay between two plays: the same email cannot play again before it ends.
How do I validate a prize?
The customer shows the code (on screen or in their email). You find it in the winners list and mark it as used.
Where should the QR code go in a bakery?
By the card terminal and in the window for the weekend queue. The print pack ranges from A6 to a roll-up banner.
