Wheel of fortune for beauty salons and Google reviews

Voxtya gives a beauty salon a wheel of fortune: customers leave a Google review, spin the wheel for a chance to win a prize: Review collection at €29 a month (Review collection + Replies: €49), 30-day free trial. A beauty salon client comes back every three to six weeks, for an infill, a wax or a facial: a small prize to use at the next appointment gives her one more reason to come back to you. Here is how to set up the wheel of fortune for a beauty salon, a nail bar or a neighbourhood spa, while keeping it discreet.

What gets in the way for a beauty salon

The client leaves relaxed… and forgets

After a treatment, the client pays, books the next appointment and leaves. Without one simple gesture at the till, the review waits forever.

A prize must not block a room

A free one-hour facial costs a whole slot. You need prizes that please in a few minutes or with no room time at all.

The appointment rhythm

An infill every three or four weeks, a wax every four to six: the code must stay valid until the next appointment.

A calm atmosphere

No question of turning the front desk into a funfair. The wheel is offered discreetly, on the client’s own phone.

How it works with Voxtya

  1. A stand at the till, a card with the receipt. The A6 stand from the print pack next to the card terminal, or a small card slipped in with the receipt: “Your review, then try your luck”.
  2. The review, then the wheel. The client enters a first name and email, opens your Google review page with one button, then the wheel opens. Her rating is never asked.
  3. Beauty prizes. A free nail polish, a free eyebrow wax, 10% off the next facial, a sample or travel-size product, and a “Thanks, see you soon” segment. You set the odds of each prize.
  4. A code that covers the next visit. Codes are valid 30 days by default: set it to 45 or 60 days so it covers your appointment rhythm.
  5. Validate at the till. The client shows her code at the next appointment and you mark it as used in the winners list.

Short prizes, or prizes with no room time, keep the wheel profitable; so does the “Thanks, see you soon” segment.

Nail bars, spas, mobile beauticians

For a nail bar, the simplest prizes are a polish, nail art on two nails or money off the next infill. For a spa, money off a massage or free access to the steam room if you have one. A mobile beautician can hand over the card when the client pays: the QR code leads to the same review page.

If your clients book online, beauty salon booking software is a separate service: the wheel and bookings work independently. To reply to reviews without revealing anything about the treatment, see Google reviews software for beauty salons.

Wheel of fortune: a game of chance for your customers

The wheel is a small game offered to your customers after their visit. They share their opinion on Google, whatever it is, then try their luck. It is not a payment for a review: nothing is guaranteed, and depending on the prizes you set, a spin may win nothing.

  • The prize never depends on the rating or what the review says. Voxtya’s wheel never asks for the rating and does not read the review.
  • The same QR code for every customer, without picking those who look happy.
  • Meant for your real customers: the QR code is displayed in your business, the customer opens your Google page with one button, then the wheel opens a few seconds later; you set the delay between two plays with the same email address.
  • Your materials talk about a review, whatever it says, never “5 stars”, “a good review” or “a positive review”.

Ready-made lines for your posters and your team: prize wheel and Google reviews: good practice.

The wheel of fortune after the review
How much is the wheel of fortune for a beauty salon?
It is part of Review collection: €29 a month (€23 billed annually), with the review page, QR code and print materials. With Review replies, the bundle is €49 a month. 30-day trial.
Which prizes suit a beauty salon?
Short prizes or prizes with no room time: a polish, an eyebrow wax, money off the next treatment, a sample. Keep a “Thanks, see you soon” segment.
Does the client need to leave a good rating?
No. The wheel is a small game of chance offered to your clients after their visit and their review, whatever the rating. Nothing is guaranteed: depending on the prizes you set, a spin may win nothing. Voxtya’s wheel never asks for the rating and does not read the review.
How do I offer it without making the client uncomfortable?
Simply, at the till: “If you have a minute, your review helps us, and you can try your luck”. The stand does the rest; nobody has to play.
How long is the code valid?
30 days by default, and you can change it: match it to your appointment rhythm.
Can a client play at every appointment?
You set the delay between two plays with the same email address, for example once a month or once a quarter.
