Wheel of fortune and Google reviews for hair and beauty salons

A salon client comes back every four to eight weeks: the wheel prize becomes a reason to book the next appointment with you. Here is how to set up the wheel of fortune for a hair salon, a barber or a beauty salon.

What gets in the way for a hair salon

The client is happy… in front of the mirror

Satisfaction peaks right after the cut. Once outside, the review is forgotten.

A service, not a product

A free haircut costs working time. You need prizes that please without blocking a whole slot.

The appointment rhythm

Several weeks pass between visits. A code that is valid too briefly expires before the next appointment.

Many salons nearby

On a high street, several salons sit side by side. Recent reviews make the difference for a new client.

How it works with Voxtya

  1. The QR code at the chair or the till. A stand from the print pack on the counter, or a card handed over with the receipt: “Your review, then try your luck”.
  2. The review, then the wheel. The client enters a first name and email, opens your Google review page, then spins. Their rating is never asked.
  3. Salon prizes. A free deep-conditioning treatment, 10% off the next service, a travel-size product, a nail polish for a beauty salon, and “Thanks, see you soon”.
  4. A code that lasts until the next visit. Extend the code’s validity (for example 60 days instead of 30) so it covers your appointment rhythm.
  5. Validate at the till. The client shows the code and you mark it as used in the winners list.

Our demo salon has no wheel yet: Le Fournil Saint-Germain’s shows exactly what clients see (first name, email, review, wheel, code). Only the prizes change.

How much is the wheel for a hair salon?
It is part of Review collection: €29 a month (€23 billed annually). With Review replies: €49 a month.
Which prizes suit a salon?
Prizes that do not block a slot: a treatment, money off the next service, a travel-size product. Keep a “Thanks, see you soon” segment.
How long is the code valid?
30 days by default, and you can change it: match it to your appointment rhythm.
Is it allowed?
Yes if the wheel is offered to every client after their review, with no link to the rating. Never promise a prize for “5 stars”.
What about a beauty salon?
Same setup, with beauty prizes: a polish, an express treatment, money off a facial.
Does the wheel work with online booking?
They are independent: the wheel starts from the QR code in the salon; online booking is a separate service at €29 a month.
