Restaurant reservation software pricing: what you really pay

Restaurant reservation software is paid for in three ways: a fee on each booking or cover, a monthly subscription, or a mix of both with set-up fees. The right comparison is over 12 months, with your real number of online bookings. Voxtya: €29 a month, no commission, €49 with your website.

Prices of the main tools, checked on their sites and dated, are in our comparisons (for example TheFork and OpenTable). They change often: check before you sign.

Work out the real cost over 12 months

  1. Count your online bookings per month (not phone bookings).
  2. Commission: bookings × fee per booking (or covers × fee per cover) × 12.
  3. Subscription: monthly price × 12, plus the add-ons you need.
  4. Add set-up fees and, if you have one, the cost of your website.

Fictional example, redo it with your own figures: 200 online bookings a month at €2 per booking is €400 a month, €4,800 a year. A €29 subscription costs €348 a year, whether you take 50 or 500 bookings.

Commission can still make sense when a platform really brings you new guests. Many restaurants keep a platform for discovery and take their regulars’ bookings direct, commission-free. Full method: commission or subscription.

What Voxtya’s €29 includes

  • No commission, whatever the number of bookings or covers.
  • Bookings by time slot or with a floor plan (tables and areas) that seats guests automatically.
  • Confirmation email, reminder the day before, link to cancel or move, waitlist.
  • Guest database filled by bookings: regulars, allergies, no-shows, notes.
  • Booking link for your website, Instagram and your Google Business Profile (“Book” button).
  • Closures and holidays, large groups approved by hand.

What Voxtya does not do: take deposits or card holds (no payments are handled), or bring you new guests like a discovery platform. With the website: €49 a month for both. Full details on the pricing page.

Frequently asked questions

How much does restaurant reservation software cost?
It depends on the model: a fee per booking or cover, a monthly subscription, sometimes set-up fees and add-ons. With Voxtya, Bookings cost €29 a month (€23 billed yearly) with no commission; €49 a month with your website.
Commission or subscription: which is cheaper?
Multiply your monthly online bookings by the fee and compare with the subscription price. Beyond a few dozen bookings a month, a fixed subscription usually costs less than a commission.
Is there free restaurant reservation software?
Some platforms charge no subscription but take a fee on bookings: it is not free, the cost is variable. Voxtya offers a 30-day free trial, then €29 a month.
Is there a minimum term with Voxtya?
No. The monthly plan stops in one click; the yearly plan (€23 a month) is paid for the year.
Do I need a website to take bookings?
No: the booking link goes on your Google Business Profile, Instagram or Facebook. With the Voxtya website (€49 for both), the “Book” button is on your site too.
